What to do in 5 spare hours

Do you know what's "all the rage" at the moment? Collars.

Do you know what I made today? A Collar.

It took me 5 freaking hours to embroider all the pearls on the collar by hand. Mostly because I'm slow and the point on the needle was dull ^-^ but it was worth the time. I really like how it turned out though I really hope I don't have to make one again ;-)

Do you like collars like that? Have you made one yourself? Tell me in the comments below!

Brunch at Café Latte ♥

Well hello there ^-^

I just came home from the most delicious Brunch (aw man, I love Brunch!) and a friend of mine asked me to review the restaurant because finding the right place isn't always easy. I'm sorry if this is boring for my readers outside from Vienna but if you ever find yourself in Vienna, on a Saturday or Sunday, you could go have some yummy Brunch.

We went to a place called Café Latte, they have two branches in Vienna, we tested the one in the Neubaugasse. I mailed them on Monday - a week beforehand - that we need a table for 2, on Sunday at 11 in the non-smoking area. They tell you on the homepage that your request should be as detailed as possible to make the transaction easier on both sides. They also tell you that it might take up to 24 hours for them to reply (because the are popular as hell!)

The restaurant itself is small but very welcoming. We felt perfectly comfortable even though our table was in an unfortunate spot. We were sitting right across the guy who managed the tables and it was always busy around us. Like I said, the place is pretty small and you kinda have to squeeze around the buffet table, especially if there is a very nice but overweight lady in front of you ^-^

The buffet itself was soooo good! SOOO good! They had rolls and slices of bread, cheese, prosciutto, meat spread, beef tartare and another 3 different kind of meaty things to put on your bread/roll. One was some kind of salami, one was cold cuts and the 3rd was ham but because I rarely eat meat, you can't hold me accountable for that. I don't know my meats :-P
For those who like sweet breakfast they served the usual: different jams, honey and Nutella. You could choose between butter and margarine, which is always nice and if you didn't want to eat a sandwich, you could eat one of the 4 different kind of cereal they have, either with milk or strawberry-yogurt. My absolute highlight were the croissants. I am very picky when it comes to croissants because once you go French, you never go back ^-~ but these croissants where perfect! They were buttery and soft and crunchy... just perfect!

Besides all the breakfasty-goods they had 6 different kind of salad: plain green salad, greek salad with tomato, cucumber and feta cheese, carrot-orange salad, plain tomato salad, pasta salad and tomato-corn salad. The greek salad was really good. I don't care for pasta salad but it was surprisingly good as well.

After all that I hardly had any space left for the lunch-part of the meal but I tried a little of the fish and the vegetarian option, which was spinach-ricotta-tortellini. Both were exceptionally tasty. The Boyfriend had some of the meat balls and like them as well. They had 2 other kind of meaty dishes but I can't remember what they were but I'm sure they were delicious as well. For the side dishes they had backed potatoes, rise and wok vegetables. Over all a good amount of lunch-dishes to choose from.

For deserts the buffet offered panna cotta, some kind of really moist, delicious cake and pieces of cheesecake and they had some fresh cut up fruit as well. The pineapple was the best I had in a long time! Besides pineapple they served some rockmelon and grapes too, the melon was cut into bite-sized pieces and the grape strands were cut so you only had 2 or 3 grapes on one piece at the time.

The all-you-can-eat brunch-buffet was €11,90 per person and over all I give the place 4 out of 5 stars, the food 4,5 out of 5 and the service 3,5 out of 5. The waitress was a little grumpy and I wish they had more options for vegetarians but I would definitively visit it again!

I hope this was at least a little helpful from my friends from Vienna or anybody who visits Vienna and wants a nice brunch. I'm sorry I didn't take more pictures but I somehow got lost eating... sorry!
